Do You Ever Stop And Think About How Much Of Your Life Is...

Do you ever stop and think about how much of your life is actually yours? How many days of your life do you get to choose what you get to do? Let’s look at the average American’s working life. Most people start full time work at 22 years old and retire at 66. They work all day during the week and usually are too tired after work to do much. So let’s focus on the weekends. 2 days of the weekend x 52 weeks a year, add on 10 days of vacation + 9 official government holidays. This comes out to 123 days of your own life a year. But now? We have the technology to do many of the menial tasks that used to burden us. Not only is the long work week unnecessary, it is damaging to our health and ourShow MoreRelatedPersuasive Essay On Why People Smoke1260 Words   |  6 PagesHave you ever wondered why some people do things?
